Production Order With out BOM

Hi Gurus,

I have a scenario where I want to produce a Material With out BOM but with a Routing. Here I when I am creating a production order it ask for Valid BOM, please let me know the setting os that it will not ask for BOM and no error message is given for not having BOM.

Create a Order type ZP01, make setting in order type dependent parameter, where you assign a new BOM application say ZP01

In the new BOM apllication, ZP01, assign a BOM ID (say 99) where you make the ID responsible for Production planning alone. Then in that ID maintain a BOM alone without any items.

Now create a production order...it will create order w/o BOM item and with routing!!!!

I tried Doing want u said. But still I am Getting the same Message of BOM Selection

Do you want to explode a BOM for

Please can u elobrate me on the same, so that this message should not come.

I believe that this must be an information message, all you need to do is to acknowledge the message with "NO" then system creates an order without BOM and will have a Status "NMAT".

Hi Pannala

Without BOm you can create the production order with std order type PP01 also.

what ever message you sare getting are information only.

you can over rule the same.

Pl. try this.
