End to end monitoring is monitoring the full execution of any transaction,

Performance monitoring is monitoring the time delay and cache monitoring is monitoring the monitoring the memory usage..

hi vivek,

its a very basic question ,so i just giving you defination of these , details you can search in SDN.

<b>Performance Monitoring:</b>

The Purpose of Performance Monitoring is to display the statistical data on the performance of the message process.

Overview Data

Detailed Data

<b>Cache Montioring</b>

In Cache Monitoring we display the objects that are currently in Runtime

Cache in following receivers (Cache instance) :

Integration Server (Java)

Integration Server (ABAP)

Adapter Engine (central or non-central)

<b>

End to End Monitoring</b>

If you want to monitor message processing steps in a number of

SAP components (to be configured).

If you want to monitor the path of individual messages through

these SAP components, from start to end.

Hi

<b>Performance Monitoring</b>

The Purpose of Performance Monitoring is to display the statistical data on the performance of the message process.

The data comes from the IS or PMI.It measures the throughput & processing time.

There are two option to view the data:

-Overview Data:

Overview Data shows the start and end data for successfully processed messages.

-Detailed Data:

Detail Data records the time for particular processing steps.

Performance Monitoring display the following data:

-Aggregated Overview Data for the message processing

-Individual Overview Data for the message processing.

-Aggregated Detailed Data for message processing performance

-Individual Detailed Data for message processing performance

<b>End to End Monitoring</b>

We use end-to-end monitoring in the following cases:

-If you want to monitor message processing steps in a number of SAP components (to be configured).

-If you want to monitor the path of individual messages through these SAP components, from start to end.

In end to end monitoring we can go for two overviews :

Process overview

Instance overview

<b>Cache Montoring</b>

In Cache Monitoring we display the objects that are currently in Runtime Cache in following receivers (Cache instance) :

Integration Server (Java)

Integration Server (ABAP)

Adapter Engine (central or non-central)

In cache monitoring, different cache objects are monitored depending on the cache instance (Receiver) concerned.

Selection criteria are available for each cache object ,we can use these selection criteria to search for current objects in the runtime cache.

Please use the search feature on SDN, SAP Help and Google.

All these questions are basic questions for which a little effort in searching and reading by yourself will give you the answers.

I second Bhavesh. Most of the people just put these basic questions in forums. I have replied to such almost twice the same way. I learnt most of about XI just by following the forum and search. I believe the aspirant XIers are so eager that, they do not even have to search the forum.

And similarly there are always people who want to increase their points.. so things do get answered.

Searching would always improve your knowledge as you would look into similar but different problem and many a times with solutions too..

Hi,

>>End to End Monitoring

Where we can the message flow in particular interval of time.

>>Performance Monitoring

Where we can find the performance of the messages flow in the Integration engine.

>> Cache Montioring

Where we find whether the Cache is upto date..or not

HI,

1) End-to-end monitoring

End-to-end monitoring focuses on the monitoring of a message lifecycle from the SAP XI point of view. The RWB offers a user interface to configure the end-to-end message monitoring. For example, you can specify the components for which the trace should run and which trace level (degree of detail for the tracing) to use.

2) Performance monitoring

Statistics about different performance aspects of SAP XI can be accessed through the RWB. Here, you can select and aggregate performance data, for example, by component, time range, or message attributes.

The RWB provides an SAP XI-specific performance monitoring. The RWB user interface offers several ways to create performance statistics. The main parameters are the message throughput and the latency.

For more information on performance, see the Tuning Guide – SAP XI 3.0 on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/instguidesNW04 ® Operations ® SAPXI.

3) Cache monitoring

Cache monitoring displays objects that are currently in the runtime cache. Different cache objects are monitored depending on the cache instance concerned.
