Hi,
I have updated all the ABAP stack support packages fine. But when i try to upgrade the Java Stack for the BW server using the SAPINST tool, i received an error in the 17th step "Starting J2EE Engine".
The error log says:
CJS-20057 Starting Java engine DVEBMGS05 of SAP system <SID> failed:
after 165 seconds the state of the engine changed from "Starting" to "Stopped".
Please help.
Thanks
Vijay

Make sure your J2EE server running. If it's not running, start it using
jcmon pf=<path of your instance profile> and choose the option 20(I believe it's 20) and refresh it, still the server starts.
I hope this helps.

Make sure the server is in normal mode.
Did you change any VM settings ?
Thanks!
