Since you are going to interview so agenda needs to be clearly defined and questions needs to be bit broader in scope. So do your home work.

Also, It will be important time to influence him with new ideas or get him excited about a change etc.

He will not be good for detail or operational questions so avoid them.

1. Do you believe that "Honesty is the best policy?"

2. Do you think that making fast bucks is better than establishing a slow reputed and far sighted business?

3.Will you have same services and prices for near-dear ones and strangers always?

4. will you be at your work place as per the work hours scheduled.

5. Will you be talking to someone else,, on phone or mobile for a long time when a customer is at your desk?

6. Will you give yourself enough rest to refresh?

7. Will you work at a slow pace or fast or moderate ?

8. Do you think you can be an example for others knowingly or unknowingly?

9. Will you judge customers on their caste creed or clan?

10.Will you be specially kind to offer small things like a seat, water etc to old and sick women and children?

At first blush, kind of blew this off, but I started thinking, then digging and found some interesting websites.

Of course one would need to know WHY you are interviewing a business man and what your agenda would be. Is it just thinking of smart questions to ask your CEO? Is it a way of interviewing and interviewer? Since you post this under change management, are you looking to provoke change? to inquire about change?

These are some of the things that came up by doing a simple google search.

As in other places on these forums, the real answer to what to ask, is serach, do your homework, think of your own business context and try not to be lazy in all the above.

In most cases, you will have very little time with a senior manager, particularly CEOs. Their time is extremely valuable and you will need to be very focused and know exactly WHAT information you need and WHY you need it.

You should also be aware that you will be asked questions, so be sure to allocate time in your agenda to answer them.

Depending on the situation, providing a pre-read (material for the CEO to review) prior to the meeting will expedite the meeting. However, be realistic and make sure to focus pre-read.
