Hello,
I would like to know how do licences work for the installation of Web AS and R/3 systems for private testing/self training use.
For instance I'm interested in installing WAS 6.40 under Linux using an Oracle DB.
Is there any useful link?
Regards,
Tommaso
Hi Tommaso,
you won't have any costs when you try out the sap Web Application Server on Linux avaliable here in SDN. If you have good connections to your SAP Basis Administrator you can ask him to order a IDES System for you and you can set this up. There are possibilities to extend the validity of the temporary installation license :-).
Regards
Gregor

Hi Tommaso,
- I've done it once with an IDES 4.6C. Description can be found at here. You can tranlate it with google.
- When your company has an SAP-Oracle license you will get an IDES also with Oracle.
Regards
Gregor
