If I want to use ZCI technology to integrate my forms into ABAP WDs, do I still have to install ADS on the app.server? And do i have to install anything on client computer?

yes ADS is always neccesary. It runs on your JAVA Stack and it generates the forms for you.
On the client you do not need anything else, than a browser and an Adobe Reader.
