Hello,

is it possible to install a WAS 6.40 Java AddIn on a WAS 6.20 ABAP System directly or do I have to install first the version 6.20?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Ralf

Hello Sanjeev,

thank you for your answer. But it is to short for me. We have installed a WAS 6.20 ABAP for the CRM Field Sales Szenario. And now the custumer want that we install now a J2EE instance. Now my question. Can we install directly the WAS 6.40 or must we install a WAS 6.20 first and update then to WAS 6.40 Java.

Thanks a lot,

Ralf

Hi Ralf,

I am sorry but the answer is again short, yes it seems possible to directly install WAS 6.40 Java that works with WAS 6.20 ABAP. I have not done it myself but I have seen installation of CRM 4.0 being done this way.

Cheers,

Sanjeev

SAP explicitely says that it is possible to have ABAP 6.20 together with Java 6.40 in this document :

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e1515a37-0301-0010-b2bb-997...

However, do you know if CRM 4.0 is compatible with ABAP 6.40?

Hi Ralf,

I think it is possible, because CRM 4.0 installation does exactly this.
