Authorization Error ESS

What kind of authorization is need for ESS? We are on Portal NW07 and ERP 2004

I have added the Roles SAP_EMPLYEE_ERP, SAP_EMPLOYEE, SAP_FI EMPLOYEE- but I still get the error message RFC Authorization for function group HRXSS_MENUCONFIG

Can anyone help please ?

go to pfcg and create a custom role here add the authorization for object s_rfc

activity 16

name of rfc HRXSS_MENUCONFIG

type of rfc FUGR

I have not worked with authorization can you descibe step by step please in PFCG

Is this the way authorization should be handeld?

I know how I can solve it just to give authorizations - SAP_ALL. But i need to give them just the correct authorizations, not too much. This is production environment.

Hi,

I am NOT telling you to give SAP_ALL.

I told you to give the * for Authorisation Objects(S_RFC) and the Functional Group(RFC_SYST,XXX) for your PORTAL ROLE that you have created in the backend.

I never told u to give the * auth objects for SAP_ALL Role.
