Hi all,
how can I start with developing content for Netweaver Portal? What tools do I need? Is Netweaver Developer Studio needed?
Any hints?
Thanks
Michael
hi Michael
NWDS (Netweaver Development studio ) , its a 500MB content, all you can try is install a simple sneakpreview and then install the NWDS , in the configuration connect the nwds to sneakpreview ,
thus wat ever module you create in Nwds you can depoly them in actual server
simple straight forward points is , you create a view in nwds and associate teh view to an iview in the portal
hope this workaround would clarify your question..

Hi Micheal,
For developing portal contenet, we can develope portal content using NetWeaver Developer Studio, but to develope you need java background.
You can also develope using Visual Composer, wheere you dont need any programming knwoledge. Visual Composer it drag and drop. But depending on the requirement we have to choose better one.

Yes Keller, NetWeaver Developer Studio is required for content development. Using this we can develop portal/WebDynpro applications Within the portal projects we can create portal components and portal services as well. After developing the project we can deploy the portal archive files into SAP application server( SAP-J2EE engine)
