Customisation of BI Portal

Hi Experts,

1. According to my client's requirement i have to include the Company Logo and company name in the BI Portal, does anybody have the idea how to do it. We are not having any integration with EP.

Hope my question is clear.

Customisation work can be done by copying the standard template into a Ztempalate and then using that tamplate as standard one.

After setting the Z tamplate as standard one server needs to be restarted (both BI & J2EE) as to reflect the changes.

Are you using portal navigation (top level navigation tabs, detailed navigation)? If so, you can create a custom masthead .par file to replace the default SAP supplied one. This will require NetWeaver Developer Studio and some Java expertise. There are examples on SDN about how to go about this.

Waiting for more reply's. Some Expert guidence is awaited.

One way to achieve this that i know is to modify the header template 0analysis_pattern header template. But that will change the BI portal. i want to change the portal that comes for information broadcasting. Any idea !!

You can do this thing very easily with WAD.

Web application Designer.

You can then include a standard Web template.

You can then use this web template for all qquery results.

if i include a standard template then i think that will be custom created, i want to use the standard one which is provided by SAP, but just want to change the header.

Any idea what template is being used for information broadcasting ??

Do you have NW Portal Team/Specialist in your company?

A Portal specialist can customize the appearence of the portal web page. He/She can add company logo to the portal landscape.

As a BW Devloper you just need to create standard web templates and generate iviews for upload to Portal server.
