I want to know whether I can install ECC 5 version in windows XP OS, before I start.

it is not supported.

some claim that they have installed it on WinXP, but you are looking for troubles. install Windows 2003 instead.

Hi,

Although sum people claim that they have installed on XP but it is always good if you go for windows 2003 Server instead.

going this way you may not face as many Errors

and if still You are going for XP Make sure that the File System is NTFS not FAT__.

That's true to keep File System NTFS rather than FAT_ . As it might give problem it all depends what OS do you have ..
