we can assign more company codes to company, example TATA is a company and Tcs, Taco, Telco are the co codes , so my question is whats the important advantage or use of assigning too many codes to one company.
Compnay is where u can get the consiladated balance sheet of all the company codes i.e For one company there can be N Number of Sister Companies where we call as Company codes. All the Company Codes are Assigned to on Group Company. Bye This Company we can get the Consolidated Balances sheet where by Company Code we can get only Balance sheet of that particular Company code.
Company Codes as such are legal entities. When the management wants to review the overall performance of a group, in your case it is Tata, a company is defined and the company codes are assigned.
