Route re-determination after ship type change

I need the route to be re-determined after the shipment type is changed at the header level. Shipment condition is redetermined at the header level. If shipment type is changed, route is not redetermined. Is this config or standard SAP?

If shipment type is changed at item level, it validates against the route.

We chose to redetermine route at delivery creation. This solves problem if sales order ship type was changed, it will determine correctly on delivery creation.
