Which process you want to change? Is there any delay / long wait time due to insufficient work processors?
You can change the workprocess by editing the above said parameters ( RZ10 --> Instance profile --> Extended maintenance --> Change OR RZ10 --> Instance profile --> Basic Maintenance --> Change ) an d restart your SAP . For more information check note 39412 .

Dear Afi,
To increase the Number of Workprocesses on the System you need to change different parameters set in the instance profile.
Following are the parameters that you can consider :
dialog work processes --> rdisp/wp_no_dia
Background Processes --> rdisp/wp_no_btc
Spool Processes --> rdisp/wp_no_spo
Update V1 --> rdisp/wp_no_vb
Update V2 --> rdisp/wp_no_vb2
The thumb rule is for every 4 Dialog processes you need 1 Update V1 process
For every 4 Update V1 process you need 1 Update V2 processes.
An minimum of 3 Background processes required on every instance and atleast
2 spool workprocesses required.
You can increase the number of Workprocesses if you have sufficient resources ( CPU / Memory ) on the Server.
I hope this reply is quite detailed as per your expectations.
Regards
Amit
