Hi Guys,

I have restarted the system and i found no instances and i added the instance saphostname 00 and 01. I have added the service sapxx 00 with the sapstartsrv.exe.

currently dispatcher and wp is stopped.

does disp+work.EXE comes under sapxx 00 or it should come under sap xx 01?

any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

srini

sapdpXX (whatever XX = your instance number)

If instance can't startup, following files are helpful

- sapstart.log

- sapstart.trc

- stderr* files

- dev_ms

- dev_disp

- dev_w0

Are you sure you logged in with the correct user? I have seen this happen when someone logs in with another account instead of using sidadm.

I have logged in as sidadm only.

hi Srinivas

log in with <SID>adm user at ur OS level

--check ur database is running..

--try to connect to ur database with SAPService<SID> user as this user is used to internal connection with database.

-- try logging ion with ur listenner service.

eg.

sql> SAPService<SID>/<password>@<SID>

if this is not connected due to logon failure . change rhe password of this user at database level or via BRTOOLS (super user passwd)

-- check ur virtual memory settings of the systems

-- check VM all the environment variables are set inplace.

--- in PATH variable set <oracle home>, <oracle home>\bin, <oracle home>\lib in the front of all the paths

<b>Kindly Assign Points</b>
