Setup test SAP Environment

Greetings,

I am a VB programmer with SPX, a company that will be implementing SAP next year. Any assistance I can get from anybody will be greatly appreciated.

I will need to connect to the SAP data to create programs we have now using VB and connecting to our AS400 PRMS EPR system.

Is it possible for me to install a test environment on my laptop so I can start using VB to test making connections? ALSO any suggestion on how to connect to SAP is also needed.

You can download the ABAP preview system from the downloads area - top menu.

Once you have that installed you can begin some simple testing. There are some good blogs here as well with examples with Excel and such.
