Value Mapping

I have defined Value Mapping...

I would like to know... in a blog here on sdn there is mention of defining party etc in the receiver or sender adapter... is that completely necessary?

Also how do we go about transporting these value mapping configuration in the directory?

Do we explicitly specify them? or do we have to reconfigure again in QA and PROD?

no,its not mandatory

even though you can transport value mapping via Tools -> Export Configuration Objects, then select 'Individual Objects' but issue can come in if you haven't defined a group name for your mapping.they are runtime objects

so better option can be to specify them explicitly.
