Hello

we sometimes have the effect that spool workprocesses require QPRINT to be extended because of message CPA4072 (max number of records reached)

I was wondering how you deal with this issue

Hi Jo,

normally SAP uses QSYSPRT as printer file ...

=> You should change QSYSPRT with CHGPF to *NOMAX and should be fine

Hello Volker

need to come back on this issue.

I was a bit reluctant to change the MAXRCDS to NOMAX (I'm afraid to have a looping process fill-up my ASP)

I turns out this only happens to Spool Work Processes.

If I go into a WP Spool job (work with job) option 4 - Work With spooled files, I have a spoolfile of 1848 pages with all records with the same content : rscpc.c(15799): p_errmask = 7fff / h_errmask = ffffffffffffffff ?

Do you have any hint what these errors mean ?

Thanks

Hello Volker

in the meantime I found that SAPNote 1020844 exactly describes this issue.

I'll check with SAP whether they have already fixed this bug in the Kernel
