Posting date period is in the future. how to change this?

When I wanted to post goods issue through VL02N, I received an error stating that the "Posting only possible in periods 2008/05 and 2008/04 in company code 1000".

I know to close a past period is through MMPV, but the problem is the posting date is in the future.

How to change this????

Hi ,

U canm open the current posting period as well with the same Tcode MMPV

Just enter the Company code

period 11 nov or 12 for dec

Fiscal year 2007

Check the first radio button check and close posting period.

Execute and save .

Come out try to do posting again.

Hello Zarah,

I guess your problem is of posting period is still unsolved.

See you can change the period in OMSY but first of all you need to remove the plant assignment with company code.and once you assigened the period again assign plant with company code.(after all assignment u also need to assign valuation grouping code in OMWD)

but this cant be proper practice for developement or production server.

so once again my suggestion is to take help from FI guy.(you can try first in sandbox)

Go to MMPI, give Company Code and in the field "Period", give the required period and execute so that period will open.

Hello Zarah,

Possibly your posting period set in the OMSY is 2008/05 and 2008/04.

so take help from FI guys.and initialise the period you wanted to post into.

it will say like this...

I need to revert back the future period into the current period which is 11 2007.
