Hi All,

In receiver determination one option is given "Sender uses Virtual Receiver"..what is the use of this option and when to use this option.

I studied previous threads in that it is given "if u want to enter specific values for receiver then we need to select this option". what is this mean.

Can anyone explain me in detail with simple example.

Regards

Prakash

a virtual receiver comes into the picture when you are configuring B2B scenarios.

you can look into a sample B2B scenario and use of the virtual receiver in this document - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b0b355ae-0501-0010-3b83-8f2...

HI,

Normally virtual receiver is used when you are configuring the B2B scenario.

Example is:

you have a file to IDOC scenario. File is coming form the third party and IDOC is posted in SAP R3 system. you have to create a two party one is Party A which send the file over WAN or mailbox and party B which acts as virtual receiver for the SAP system and you create a business system for IDOC which actually receive the message.

Now while configuraing the scenario you give the Party B as a virtual receiver in the communication channel.

Refer the below help:

hi prakash,

virtual rec is used when at application level u want to determine if a rec exists or not for an outbound interface. this determination is done before sending message at runtime. thus it avoids unnecessary construction n parsing of msg at runtime.

Receiver-Dependent Routing

You can define receiver determinations as receiver-dependent.

You can use this property when configuring cross-company processes where not all communication parties know the entire system landscape description. In this case, you can release an external view of your system landscape for your communication parties. Your communication party then knows the externally released virtual receiver to which he can send his messages. By defining one receiver determination that is dependent on a virtual receiver, you can define the internal receiver system to which the message is to be forwarded.

If you want to create a receiver-dependent receiver determination, select the Sender Uses Virtual Receiver checkbox in the create dialog. The system then displays the input fields for the receiver (party, service).

Thanks
