How to read and modify the organizational structure

Dear all,

We need to read existing objects (like job, position, employee and user) which were maintained in the organizational managment transaction PPOCW and modify some of them. Is there any API to read and modify those objects?

Hi Jerome,

I don't know about any API, but I didn't search for one so there could be one. Depending on your requirements you could use LSMW if you have enough input. You can use transaction PP01 to change the different objects. You probably need to create a Batch input scenario.

The objects itself are stored in HRP1000 and the relations between the objects are stored in HRP1001.

Modification I think you have to do through PPOME. Information about them you can get them in table HRP1001. I think uou can make use of LSMW bcoz generally it is used to upload infotype though I am not sure whether you can use it for modification.
