Is billing indicator a must in WBS for Sales pricing thru DP81 or DP82 ?

Hi all,

We want to carryout sales pricing and create quotations thru DP81 or DP 82. This is a scenario for a Construction company and there are more than 500 items which are required to be quoted in the project. We intent to have 500 WBS elements in the project, so that each one can be cost planned through Easy cost planning within Project Builder and each one of these WBS elements will be account assigned to 500 Sales items in the sales document (Inquiry / Quotation)

We require help to understand the following:

1.Is it mandatory to have billing indicators for the WBS elements for which sales pricing is required? In that case –Is it advisable to have 500 Billing WBS elements in the project?

2.In case we have 500 Billing elements, then revenue will be posted on each of the WBS element. Will the revenue consolidate on the Top WBS billing element, so that we can do Result analysis on the top level WBS element?

Hi

Billing indicator is a must to be checked in Project Builder to enable the WBS as account assignment in Sales Order.

There can multiple Revenue WBS elements in Projects but depends upon the requirement of the client.

Otherwise for each project one billing WBS element can be created and do the RA at the higher level WBS so that the cost and revenue will be considered for RA.
