DMS: field plant in table DRAW - what for???

Hello DMS consultants

table DRAW contains field WERKA = plant - it's also in all the DMS BADI interfaces and even office integration caters for it - yet I cannot see any way of maintaining it using the standard DMS transactions.

I would find it very useful to be able to make use of this field but don't see that SAP caters for actually making use of it.

What then is the purpose of this field and how is it used????

Hi Patrick,

Field 'WERKA' of table 'DRAW' cannot be used in standard transactions.

This field can only be used with a BADI.

This field can not be filled in transaction CV01N/02N. It seems that

DRAW-WERKA is filled, when the document info record is created with

a CAD integration.

Hi Christoph,

I have created CAD Documents using the CAD. Can you tell me what is the BADi to link the document with plant ? One more thing can you also tell me what is the business purpose for this thing. Will this plant be common for both material and document created from CAD System.

you should be able to maintain this field by using BAPI_DOCUMENT_MAIN01.

my assumption here is that the field WERKA is filled with some plant value.
It is read in a SELECT at function module MCT_CMP_MM_GET_DOKNR or report DVSARCH3.
