Hi,
What application and release are you trying to copy? You need to provide more information.
One thing to check is if you are using the right kennel release for the copy (original is the same as target).
Cheers,
Mike.

Hi,
I've checked the kernel release on both systems.
Source: AIX 5.3 SAP Kernel 102 ( 7.00 )
Target : AIX 5.3 SAP Kernel 102 ( 7.00 )
Because the failure if found a sap note which describe a similar problem. if an abap report was generate on 6.40 kernel and play back on 7.00 the kernel should be updated to patch 43 or newer. So I installed kernel patch 114 ( part I + II ) on target and restart ( retry ) sapinst. The result is the same.
Step RUN ABAP Report RSWBOINS stops with error.
Now I tried to logon into the system , what still is possible. First I get an shot dump.
SYNTAX_ERROR in program SAPLSFW_COMMON
Program SAPLSHI25 stopped
Than I called transaction SA38 and ran report RSWBOINS without any message.
Retry on sapinst results in the same error .
Do you have any idea ?
What further informations do you need ?
thanks in advance , thomas
