How many phases r there in supporting project?
can any one plz give me the brief information about supporting project?

Generally support engagements will have two phases
1.Managed Operations
2. Managed Services
The phase1 is further divided into Transition(A) and Consolidation phase(B)
The scenario A follows immediately after engagement. In this stage, operational set up of the project will be done. Connectivity, resource interviews, timings , Knowledge transfer all teh most important things which will happen during thsi phase.
In IB, once transitiion phase is satisfactory, managed operations-consolidation will happen. In this phase, there will be lot of KPIs and both the client and the vendor will be responsible for the KPIs. This phase will go for another 3to 4 months.
Once consolidation is fine and the client is satisfied with the vendor's delivery process, the clients no more be involved in day to day planning, resource decisions etc with teh vendor. They will get into service levels with teh vendor and during thsi phase, teh SLAs will become more sanctimonious.
Though each phase has lot of points, i have briefed them here in short.

there are no phases or stages in a support project.
only when u r implementing a project there will be phases where the project is divided.

there are nothing phases in support project.
Once you get new support project there is period called Transition period for 3 to 4 months,based on performance on this phase client will decide contrat on that project.
After getting that project they will count SLA's(service level aggrement) according to the seviarity of the tickets.It will effect on billing also.
In support we have Incidents on day to day business and RICEF(reports,interfaces,conversions,enhancements and forms).
according to geographical regions we have to work on shifts in support project.
