Hi
Business system is a logical layer needed for configuration in integration directory. On the other site technical system is physical representation of your technical landscape. In case of SAP technical systems you can have more than one business system relation. In that situation there is relation one client to one business system.
If your technical system changes, then you definitely need to point this new technical system to the existing Business system which has been used to do all the Configurations in the Integration Builder.
Thanks

Hi,
Business System
Business systems are logical systems that function as senders or receivers within the SAP
Exchange Infrastructure. You configure business systems in the SAP System Landscape
Directory (SLD). A business system is always associated with a technical system (here: SAP
Web AS ABAP system).
Logical systems that function as senders or receivers within the SAP Exchange
Infrastructure. Business systems can be SAP systems or third-party systems. You can configure business systems in the SLD.

Hi,
Business System is a logical representation of a Technical system.
Business System represents Technical System + Client. i.e. Business Systems points the Technical System and client, which contains the technical parameters that are required to connect to particular system like port, message server etc.
<b>Advantage of Using Business System:</b>
<b>1.</b> Using Business System saves you time from inputting all technical details and client number each time you need XI to communicate with them.
<b>2.</b> In future if there is any changes in the technical system such as client changes there is no necessary to change the scenarios in XI instead it is sufficient to change the Business system to point to the new technical system.

Sarvesh
