Hello,
I'm installing 4.6B SAP System on a RHEL 4.
For this I'll use SAP Kernel 4.6D_EXT and Oracle 10, but oracle client must me 9.2
Can anybody tell how to install Oracle with a different client version?
Hope you can help me.
Thanks
You can´t do that.
You need to install 4.6b with Oracle 9.2 and upgrade to Oracle 10.
See note 940794 - Releasing Oracle 10.2 versions for older SAP versions

Hello,
Following two SAP notes have some more details for 9i client installation.
539921 Current patch set for Oracle 9.2.0
1017418 Installing Oracle 9208 Client software on UNIX
Since your DB is 10g, i suggest you to use oracle 9.2.0.8 client.
Ofcourse client version is depends on the SAP kernel and oracle client installation is independent of the oracle server software installation.
Best Regards,
Madhukar
