We like to install Decentral adapter engine on the same WebAS XI is running due to Organization strategy. Can some one give me details such as which component of AF we should download to install and any how to guides will be helpful.
Current System: NW2004s, SPS11
Thank you in Advance.
Hi -
You should use SAPinst to install it - just as you did for your PI installation. On the initial welcome screen, there will be an option for installing J2EE Adapter Engine (don't think it specifies "Decentral" J2EE Adapter Engine.
You need the following DVDs:
- SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR2 Installation Master DVD
- SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR2 Java DVD
SR2 includes up to SP09. You'll need to apply SP11 relevant SPs after the SR2 installation. NW SP Stack Guide for SP11 is also available. The guide tells you the components you need - just look within Process Integration section and specifically for J2EE Adapter Engine.
Installation guide can be found on Service Marketplace:
http://service.sap.com/instguides
Then Installation & Upgrade Guides>>SAP NetWeaver>>SAP NetWeaver 7.0>>Installation>>Installation Clients (bottom of page)>>Installation - J2EE Adapter Engine on <OS Platform> (SR2)

Jin
