Hi all,
We have two SAP systems but they are in different networks. We want to copy one of the clients in one system into the other by doing export/import. Is it possible to make the export in the source system into a local disk or CD and then make the import in the target system from that CD or disk???.
We don't have RFC connections between the two systems.
Thanks.
Yes - that is possible.
An export generates a transport that you can copy, burn to CD etc.
You need to make sure though, that the data dictionary, support package levels etc. are identical on both systems, otherwise the import will fail.

OK, thak you.
I've found some information in the online documentation about the files generated in the export. And for the import I know that I must copy the generated files in the /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/datafiles target system directories.
However, could anyone explain me the detailed steps of how to do the import and post import in the target system??
My systems are SAP ECC 6.0 over Netweaver 2004s on Windows with Oracle (source system) and SQL(target system).
Thak you all.
