Object type

Dear all,

In our process since the users are to be restricted for some of the processing in SAP , whenever we propose the same to our basis team, they ask for the object type and other details - this is possible if the user is not authorised for any transaction , the SU53 screen will show what object is required.

My requirement is the opposite of the SU53 - the user is authorised for some process and we want to restrict him now - how to get the details of the object type etc., to inform the basis team.

Can anyone explain how this can be checked and information forwarded.

Dear Pherasath,

Thank you for your input - as mentioned earlier, our basis people are not able to get the exact object type that has to be restricted and that is the reason they ask us to provide the object type that has to be specifically locked.

Since the SU53 message is capturing to the level of object type,object key etc., the same should be available for each transaction - this is what is required - how to get those details so that the same can be communicated to the basis team.

Hi All,

Ask SAP Basis person to assign roles in that you can restrict the user. Like if he is the end user he can be restricted in customizing the IMG part. If he a SAP FI-CO end user you can restrict from accessing other part or T.Code also. This has to be done by basis person only. You just explain them what are the access to be restricted. I hope the will help you out
