hi sam,

loosely coupled means that there is very slight "binding" between sender n receiver systems. in xi async communication ensures loose couplin bcoz sender after sendin msg doznt wait for respose from receiver and futher processing continues. but in sync communication sender waits for response this is tight coupling. sender n receiver are "tightly bound" together.
