Can somwone please tell the exact difference between database, data dictionary and repository.

hi,
1. A Repository is a place where data are stored (ie. a Space in Alfresco)
2. A Data Dictionary is a repository of metadata (that is a data about data...so a particular kind of data)
In this simple DB:

NAME SURNAME AGE

Matteo Di Palma 27
Marco Rossi 31
_____________________________________
Matteo, Di Palma and 27 are data
Name, Surname and age are metadata
