Hi Mukthar,

Difference between LSMW & CATT

The LSMW Workbench is an R/3 based tool that supports you when transferring data from non-SAP systems to SAP. It has more option/functionality to upload data. LSMW is developed as a tool for data migration, mainly Master data i.e. Materials, Vendor, Customer, BOM, Inforecord etc.

CATT comes free with SAP , one can use this for testing as well as for batch input of data to system, CATT allows screen recording and loading data from file. Data mapping/translation/routines etc is not possible with CATT. CATT is developed as an automated test tool and to carry out upload sequence of transactions.

when you are refering database table ex: parameters: p_matnr type mara-matnr, then you have declare MARA also in TABLES.

Reward if it helps,

I don't think you can create a parameter of type STRING.

You can't crate a parameter with type F, STRING.
