Connect already archived image in external system to FI-invoice in SAP

Hi!

Is there a way to connect an "existing FI-invoice in SAP" with "an existing archived image (in external system)".

...and by that get a connection to the FI-invoice via Object links in the menu (FB03)?

Im only familiar with the ways of doing archiving via the Function Modules...

'ARCHIV_CONNECTDEFINITION_GET'

'ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_DIALOG'

'ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT'

But I find the current situation to be abit tricky...

Please update me with any information you might have.

We are trying to accomplish exactly the same. Could you please input on how you used the functional calls. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
