Purchasing area

Hi

Can any one tell me, why there is NO PURCHASING AREA MAINTAINED IN ECC6. In ECC6 Maintain Purchasing area has been removed. Where as in 4.6

we can see Maintain Purchasing area under MM-PURCHASING-MAINTAIN PURHCASING AREA

Can any one throw some light on it. Maximum marks will be awared to the correct answer.

Hi,

Purchasing areas are only used in the info system and for master data reporting. Purchasing areas have no relevance for data maintenance or authorization objects.

That may be the reason Maintaining Purchasing area is removed from the ECC6
