Dear Gurus,.
Please explain me what is release period with respect to schedule margin key
Thanks and Regards,
Jejesh
Hi Jejesh,
Release period defined in SMK decides, release date of the production Order.
During production order scheduling system deducts no of days defimed as release period from Schedule start date of the production order, to determine release date of production order(in case backward scheduling).

Hi
Release period Can be defined as the number of workdays between the planned start date of the production order and the date for releasing the order.
If the order release indicator is set, the production order is released by a background program that takes all dates into account.
Reward points if useful

hi
Release period will be used in case of inhouse production items only.
It is the time taken to convert the planned order to production order & release.
