Thanks in advance

hi pyari nookala,
value mapping is nothing but transformation of values from source to target.
it actually is possible to create the value mappings you need. For that you need to do the following in the integration directory:
1. Start the value mapping maintenance (Tools --> Value Mapping)
2. Select Value Mapping Agencies and enter your agencies
3. Maintain your mapping without the duplicates.
4. Start the value mapping maintenance again, but this time with the option Value Mapping Group Selected By. You can either use Group Name (if you have maintained groups) or Representation for those values where you need to maintain duplicates.
5. Enter your duplicates (you will receive a warning, asking you if you want to create a duplicate - Confirm this with Yes).
This feature is available as of some SP (I am just not sure which one

Let me give u an example, Suppose a person called Mr. Smith has a particular customer number as a customer of mail order company A and has a particular employee number as an employee of company B. Both numbers refer to the same person. So here we can use value mapping
You use the value mapping function to map different representations of an object to each other. You save the mapping rules for different objects in a value mapping table.
hi
Value mapping:
Value mapping table wil be created in ID and maintain values in value mapping table for value transfermations during message mapping.

When there is a source Agency and Scheme and with a target agency and scheme, then we can configure the expected values for the source and corresponding target values in Configuration->tools->value mapping, and same has to be mapped with the source and the target field in Design

<b>How to Implement Value Mapping.</b>
1.Register Java Proxies. This is one time activity for each installation. Following URL has to be called for registering asynchronous replication scenario:
2. Application Programming: ABAP program has to be written to perform following tasks:
a. Read Value Mapping data from table.
b. Call Outbound Proxy to push the data into a message to Integration Server.
3. Configuration of Replication scenario in Integration Directory.
<b>Major Advantages:</b>
1. Suppose you need to lookup some R/3 values in you mapping at run time then Value mapping will cache all table entries into XI at runtime. Thus Frequent Lookups to R/3 will be avoided.
