Well I posted this thread in HCM forum as well.. Was just wondering if Icould get answers if I posted it here as well.

Has any one has implemented the business package for compensation spcialist?
I am not really sure if there are any advantages of implementing the BP for CS ( Comensation specialist). What are the advantages of implementing the BP for CS over giving the R/3 acess directly to the CS ( which we are planning to do any way)
And by the way can BP for CS 60.2 be implemented with ECC 6.0 . I think it is possible but please clarify.
Any thoughts

Thanks Brian for your inputs,
I think we should go ahead with atleast deploying the BP and show it to the client to make a decision.
Brian one final questions, I am sure but can you confirm that this can talk to ECC. 6.0 with EP 7.0 .....NW2004s lets say SP11.
the BP documentation says it can be used from NW2004 or NW2004s SP4 or 5 something like that. But since this BP has been avialable even before 2004s was released hence my doubt.

its not only bringing R/3 transactions only....
there are applications attached to roles that makes it better....

Brian,
If we are just bringing the R/3 transaction to the front end through this Business package, I do not see how it will enhance the user navigation.
Any thoughts.

above link will provide you more info with respect to the functionality.
All the activities that can be performed from R/3 can be easily achieved from this package too so I don't think there will be any diffrence with respect to the functionality but access from EP will provide an easy navigation to the compansation administrator for sure.
