Aggregating requirements at a level above plant

Hi experts,

I have different plants set up in a company code. Each plant has its own material requirements. I want to group some of these plants into a "Hub" and then analyze the material requirements.

Can anyone suggest how do I map this in SAP?

Hi Nani

Thanks for your response. Grouping bthe plants during reporting is definetely one way of doing it...I found the report MCE7 to be very close to my requirement.

I am also thinking of defining each purchase organization for each group of plants if the above report does not satisfy the customer..

Thanks.

Jack,

If this is purely for reporting purposes, then the simplest way would be to create variants for each group of plants in MCE7 or other reports.

I don't think that defining purchasing orgs. purely for analyzing material requirements for a group of plants is a good idea. Purchasing Orgs. are meant to reflect your purchasing structure and nothing more.

Hope this helps.
