Hi all,
I tried to setup BEx analyzer in my ERP2005, and in system landscape directory of portal, there is a system SAP_BW which I used BI JAVA template to install it.
And now I used the connection test for this system, the 'SAP Web AS Connection' and 'ITS Connection' is OK, but the 'Test Connection with Connector' is failed, the message is :
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
Did anyone encountered this problem, and is there any suggestions?
Helpful reply will be rewarded.

Hi,
There is a problem with the connector settings. Please check with the Basis Team for the following parameters:
Connection String to Application/Applicaiton Server/Message Server
Logical System
SAP Client
SAP System ID
SAP System Number
Group to be used
System Type should be SAP_R/3
You can also visit the weblog showing how to create system:
Hope this helps!

Bob,
Have you tried creating a query in BI and testing it so you can view it in the portal? We get the same error message but it still works.
Otherwise try mapping your user to a BI users and test it agian.
Thanks,
Nick.

Hi Nick,
I want to use BEx web analyzer in my portal, when I go into the link BEx web analyzer in portal, there are two error message raised:
The first is:
'user' missing
I think this one is caused by SSO configuration , and now I try to correct this.
secong is:
No connection possible to BI master system SAP_BW
This one I think is BI system connection problem which I asked in this issue.
Did you use BEx web analyzer also? and did you have any info for this topic?
Thanks
Bob
