Hi,
Our customer has a business scenario , which uses a combination of make against order and make to stock. In its case 90% of production is against make to order and 10% is against make to stock.
Its requirements are that in case of make to Order scenario it should be able to know which production orders have been created against a particular sales order and the manufacturing variance at the time of order settlement should flow to COPA under specific sales order.
In case of rest of 10% production it should have the flexibility of producing material as made to stock.
How to fulfill the above requirements , pls provide details answers , helpful answers will be awarded points.
Regards
Milind Nair
Hi,
Strategy 40 is suitable for this situation.
As per your requirements, in make to Order scenario it is able to know which production orders have been created against a particular sales order and the manufacturing variance at the time of order settlement also can do.
If useful reward your points.

Milind,
Use strategy 20, so that 90% of the case goes with MTO scenario. For the remaining 10%, production orders can be created manually for the quantity.
or else,
Create a Strategy Group with 20 as first priosity and 10 as second and assign to the material master, now when sales orders are created it follows the MTO path. For MTS you can create PIR with LSF requirement type to plan and execute the production.

Hii Milind,
What you can do is to check your consumptions of orders. In order to that you can select either single strategy or more than one strategies. As I saw that you receive your sales order for 90% sales, then you can choose different strategy and for purely make to stock for your 10% of sale, you can choose different strategy.
