Creating Cost center

pls give me detailed step by step procedure

Hi,

<u><b>Steps-</b></u>

1) Maintain controlling area (T code -OKKP).

1a) Assign co. code to controlling area

1b) Activate components /controlling indicator.

2) Create cost element (T. code - KA01)

3) Create cost centre (T. code - KS01)

(<b>Note</b> - controlling area is same as your co. code)

Pl. check.

i wanted to create Cost center bcos to check how the goods issue,assets and some other transaction works...

Pls help me to create cost center in detail........

Hi Veeranna,

You can create cost centers with KS01 transaction.For creating cost center you need controlling area.If you don't have for your company code create that also.Before creating cost center,check the standard cost centers.
