template for material master fields for material extension to a plant

Hi SAP Gurus,

We are trying to extend materials to a new plant. Does anybody have a template which lists the fields that might change specific to the new plant. Any help in this direction is greatly appreciated.

Hi Anusha,

This can not be a generic template suitable for any project...

For that matter, it changes within the project as well...

How you have to proceed is:

1) List down your material master fields from the table (se16 trn) MARC

2) Create a spreadsheet for the materials as an example below (for all those fields you have values filled in the step#1:

Material# Plant# PGr Var.OrdUnit Purch Val Key Plnd Del Time GR Proctme etc

302112 1000 302 2 Y001 5 days 1

30232 1000 302 1 Y002 5 2

...

=========================================================

Suggested to upload all plant specific fields related to each view as one upload rather than all views of each material in one upload....
