Hello,

I ran template - configure SLD with NWA.(1st step) and remaining steps are manual and not necessary for PI/

And also Ran PI installer all 10 templates. I got all import successful messages. But, When i touch ABAP, Though it si saying import successful it is giving message

"Element SAPDEMO.<SID>. Backend unclassified

ABAP. configuration.FM.Call

SXMB_Register_queues

ABAPconfiguratorwriter succeeded"

What is this mean and is my SLD has been configured.

Thanks,

Srinivas

Hello Barry,

I used 001 for PI configuration since it is meant for developmet. In my case, i don't need to do client copy.

As i am new to sap, how do client copy. May be it will be useful in future.

If i do copy 001 to 100 now, So all the configurations also copied to 100. Hope i am correct. I will try it, once i am ready with 001.

Thanks for help,

Srinivas

You should not use Client 001

There is a post-installation step to create a new client.

1. SCC4 --> Create client no. and fill other details.

2. Logon to the newly created client with SAP* and PASS as password.

3. SCCL --> choose any profile (preferably SAP_ALL), source client 000 and target client <as created just now>.

4. Preferably do a test run initially to check if it can go well.

Thanks Barry,

I have one doubt. When i do these steps, i have to login to SAP XI client 001 as PISUPER and exceute them.

If i want to login to ABAP side, hope the client and PISUPER are same.

Is any place i have to use other than PISUPER.

Ans I believe these steps are done by template installer. Anyway, i will check manually once again as suggested.

Thanks,

Srinivas.

No, don't use client 001.

Create a development client - 100 (or whatever) and do all the configuratoin in that client and set the ExchangeProfile to point to that client, and make sure that client is configured as the integration engine (sxmb_adm).

The post sintall steps are to:

Create RFC connections - LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI

Add entries to SLDAPICUST

Add URL, user and password to ExchangeProfile

Enter JCo RFC destrinations in Visual Admin

Add SLD Data Supplier URL user and Password in visual Admin and replicate with SLD (Test Data)

Run RZ70 in ABAP

Once complete run SLDCHECK in ABAP...

Is the SLD Local? have you completed the post installation tasks of SLD? Have all the PI/XI COmponents registered in SLD?

I never trust the template isntaller, not all the CIM objects register successfully al the time, therefore certain manual associations are required. There is an OSS Note 764176 that helps.

Have you completed the post installation tasks in PI/XI?
