Hello!

Is it possible to delete the existing IBase from tcode IB52 or with some reports/programms?

I have only 4 systems but some component are twice or more so that the structure is not consistent.

Thanks & regards!

Thom

Hey Thom,

Its very much possible to delete ibase/components from tcode ib52.

Its simple and you need not run any reports to do this..

Just go to ib52 and enter your ibase.

There click on the structure or component which is repeated twice..

Once this is done, just look on the icons on the left side top, there is an icon for CUT, click on it and you are done....

Please reward points for usefull answer..

Hello Anand,

sure you can go to tcode IB52, cut the desired component that you don't need anymore.

The problem is to save this settings. When you push save, leave the screen, you can see below the message "no changes done for IBase 1".

That is my problem....

Hi Tom,

check your SMSY entries for your 4 systems. The IBase consists of SAP SID + installation number and in sub levels + client number. If this is all ok, do you happen to have SP12 in your Solution Manager?

Hello!

I am already on SP13.

I am looking for reports/programms/tcodes that allow to reorganize the IBase structure (tcode IB52)in order to generate IBase from scratch.

As I mentioned I would like just clean up the unused IBase components.

Thanks & regards

Hey Thom,

I just want to know if you have authorization for the Authorization object IB_IBASE.

You need to have Change rights ie Actvt 02.

I have SAP_ALL and its works well for me with SP10.

Cant you ask your BASIS team who might have SAP_ALL to do this for you ?

If you all have all the rights then its better to Raise an OSS for it..

However i still want to know whether to delete components of existing IBASE or create new IBASE altogether..

Anand.

Hello Anand,

thank you very much for your response.

I have of course SAP_ALL profile for this user.

Does not SAP_ALL include object IB_BASE as well?

Can I be sure that you can go to tcode IB52 choose "1" in the installation.

Then you can cut any IBase components save, leave the tcode then go back again and your deleted Ibase is gone?

Thank you!

THOM,

I am absolutely sure.

However the ibase is not deleted, its only the component that is deleted.

if you want i can send you screenshots of it.

Reward for usefull answer.

Hello Anand,

I believe you.

More important for me was the question whether it depends with authorization object IB_BASE?

Could you please describe in more technical details how do you cut the IBase component and save these settings or send me please screenshots at sdnuser007@yahoo.de?

Thank you very much!
