When creating cendors via a custom BDC, they all automatically block. Is there a setting that can undo this or do I have to just add another step to my BDC to unblock them via XK05.

It turned out we had workflow set-up to block all vendors, so I had to amend the start conditions of teh WF to exclude these vendors from WF.
Please check your BDC once. The Vendor should not get blocked on creation.
However for the already blocked vendors,you can record the XK05 transaction for unblocking and write a BDC accordingly.

You can unblock using the program using which u create the vendormaster.(There is a userexit for this)
or u can do that masschange
Make sure ur FI Block is also remvoed apart from xk05.
