Hi All,

Does anyone have any news on 64 Bit support for Web Tools. Now that we have overcome the PL:06 issue on 2007 I have a good site that needs to get going but they have a 64 Bit Web Server. Arrggghhhh.

Hi

I am running webtools in windows server 2003 which is a 64bit environment

without any problem.

As I know and as our website works fine on 2003 webserver I guess webtool

is working fine with 64bit enviroment.

However, I have problem running synch program on 64bit.

Thanks

Hi Sanjaya,

I think that our problem stems from not being able to run the Installer on the 64 Bit Server. However I will pass your details to my colleagues who are doing this implementation and they will be in touch. Thanks for your help so far.

with out any problem in Windows 2003 64. It is just a dedicated server

with IIS 2.0.

Thanks Sanjaya,

Did you run the installer on the 64 Bit server to create the Web Tools instance or was this an upgrade. My colleagues are telling me that the installer will not execute??

the issues are with messaging and the extraction of files from the zip archives

these are 3rd party components and are not 64-bit compatible

they have been rewritten in the upcoming version and are being tested

there is no specified date as to when they will be released

Yes I have a issue with the messaging services it start and it last for only

coule of seconds and it stop.

Web site is working fine.

Is there any solution to send emails from the web. At the movement

all the orders places via webtools is process manually ... it dosent

email it to anyone.

It was not upgrading for sure. Coz we recently

purchase webtools and rent a dedicated server

for this (windows 2003).

If you rent the server from from third party company

check whether they have given the permission to install

software on the server. If you dont have the administrator

account intallation might be restricted.

If it is ok this is the check list i ve

gone through before installing webtools

IIS 6 webserver.

IIS tool kit

.NET 2.0

MS SQL 2005 Server

MS SQL 2005 Management Studio

They need to be installed before you run

the installer.

Is there any error message pop up or what happend

when you run the installer.

Hope this might help you.
