Tape drive Configuration

Hi,

I am unable to take archivelog backup from DB13. From OS level we are able to take backup. Please give me an idea to set any parameters for tape drive in SAP level.

Nagesh,

when you schedule a job in DB13, it also creates a corresponding job in SM37. this job name in SM37 start with DBA*.

this SM37 job start an OS command... this OS command is started using SAPserviceSID.

now, go into DB13, check status, is it red?

check job log in SM37 for your job,. post results from this.

I dont get any error message but if I schedule it in DB13 backp shd be done. But no backup is take from here.

How do you know that no backup is done? Please post the logfile of that DB13 action.
