Our problem is that the info record provides the mapping to our customer's material number coming into our system via an incoming electronic message and our customer can not guarantee the delivery of their number in all upper case characters.
As I already said, irrespective of the alpha character (lower or upper), it will accept. So in your case also, if your customer's reference is in lower case, system will certainly accept but if you want to take prints in the same style, then it is not possible. The data stored in VD51 / VD52 will always have upper case only.
