Hello,
I am implementing for a customer that insists on using a strict modeling policy for central infoobjects (i. e., using DSOs in the ETL layer instead of linking the infoobject itself to the datasource).
One word ahead: I am using 7.0 technology, therefore DTPs, transformations etc.
For taking advantage of the delta mechanism I intended to link the entry DSO with 0VENDOR_ATTR. Unfortunately this is prohibited by the delta type 'E' of the datasource. (Results in a DTP error)
Changing the delta type to 'NEWE' in the source system (experimentally...) neither did the job as it even seemed to disable PSA loading.
Can anyone suggest a workaround or even a solution how to use 0VENDOR_ATTR in the context of this DWH architecture and with 7.0 technology?
Thank you all.
Torsten
Hi Torsten,
create a new datasource and assign 0vendor_attr to that ds. Connect that infosource with your dso. That should work.
regards
Siggi
